Follow along

  1. Save the file below as skills/meeting-summary/SKILL.md, beside the meeting workflow and its references/working-contract.md, which this skill reads.
  2. You rarely call this skill on its own. The workflow page lists when it is used and what it passes on.

Before you rely on it

These are authored course materials. They have not been run in a live agent yet, so nothing here proves that a tool will load them, follow them or save anything. Try them on the fictional practice files first and check every result yourself.

# Meeting summary

Read the [shared contract](../meetings-and-follow-through/references/working-contract.md). Receive the complete meeting source, current context brief and desired use of the notes. Read the full source before drawing conclusions.

Organize the notes around the work the meeting changed: meaningful updates, confirmed decisions, commitments, blockers and questions still open. Preserve the distinction between a suggestion, a tentative plan and an accepted decision. Attribute a commitment to its speaker or confirmed owner, and carry the exact source deadline when established. Flag ambiguous speakers, relative dates without an established meeting date or timezone, and uncertain transcription at the affected item.

Use useful source anchors such as timestamps, speaker turns or note sections. Reasons belong with decisions only when the source gives those reasons; an interpretation may be offered separately as an interpretation. Where the leader supplies a correction, distinguish the corrected fact from the original transcript wording so the follow-up can use the leader's intended meaning without rewriting history.

Return concise readable notes, a list of decisions, commitments with known owners and dates, unresolved points, and the source map. Adapt the detail to the task: a short meeting may need only a few paragraphs, while a disputed agreement deserves its actual wording and surrounding context. Do not fill a standard table with invented details just to complete every cell.
