Lecture 10.9

Find and Adapt Existing Agents

This file is included in the Section 10 practice ZIP.

Start with the material you have and the result you want back. The VoltAgent Business and Product collection provides community Claude Code agent files you can inspect and adapt.

  • content-marketer · An existing setup guide or approved source text, plus the audience and format · A LinkedIn draft that preserves the source information
  • business-analyst · Meeting notes about a process or requested change · Requirements, open questions and points to confirm
  • ux-researcher · Supplied customer comments with their IDs · Themes, supporting excerpts and follow-up questions

The files describe broad responsibilities. Inspect the instructions and tools, then adapt one project copy to the job you actually need. Claude Code keeps project agents in .claude/agents/. You can describe the adaptation in ordinary English.

For the Willow Desk setup-post job:

Claude Code · Copy block 1
Use this content-marketer agent as a starting point:
https://github.com/VoltAgent/awesome-claude-code-subagents/blob/main/categories/08-business-product/content-marketer.md

Adapt it for Willow Desk. It should read our setup guide and draft one helpful LinkedIn post in a simple conversational tone. Keep the setup information accurate and return the draft for me to review. Save it as a project agent called setup-content-writer.
Paste into: Claude Code

Open the saved definition in Claude Code's file browser. Check that its description and instructions cover the setup-post job, and that the available actions fit reading your guide and returning a draft. Remove unrelated campaign work or dependencies the project does not use.

Try one small assignment:

Claude Code · Copy block 2
Use setup-content-writer to turn our setup guide into a helpful LinkedIn post. Return a draft for me to review.
Paste into: Claude Code

Inspect which agent ran, then compare the actual draft with the guide. Are the part names and setup steps accurate? Does every product claim have support in the guide? Is the wording helpful to the intended reader?

If Claude cannot find the saved agent, start a new conversation in the same project and retry the named request. A saved definition and a successful review are separate checks. Correct an actual mismatch by showing Claude the draft passage and the corresponding guide passage.

You decide whether to revise or publish after reviewing the draft. The course demonstration does not publish a post.

For more useful job ideas, Federico Donatone's marketing workflow guide describes turning approved posts into blogs and call notes into next steps or recaps. Those examples include Skills and scripts; inspect what an example supplies before treating it as a native agent file.
