Tools:

• Guides: Customizable horizontal and vertical lines for creating a structural skeleton. Drag while holding Ctrl/Command to duplicate guides. Guides allow for exact placement (e.g., titles at the same height on every slide) and building symmetrical layouts (e.g., three perfect columns).

Structure:

• Parent Master: The top, largest slide. Changes here affect all slides.
• Child Layouts: Smaller slides underneath. Represent specific layouts (e.g., Title Slide, Title and Content) and inherit properties from the Parent Master.

Workflow:

1. Select the Parent Master slide.
2. Fonts: Use Slide Master > Fonts > Customize Fonts to create a custom theme (e.g., using "Inter" for both Heading and Body).
3. Colors: Use Slide Master > Colors > Customize Colors to define your palette using hex codes (e.g., setting Text, Background, and Accent colors).
4. Footer: Add consistent elements like a brand name or page number in the footer placeholders on the Parent Master. Activate via Insert > Header & Footer.

Workflow:

4. Add any static decorative elements (like an icon) directly to the layout.

Workflow:

1. Go to File > Save As.
2. Change the file type from .pptx (Presentation) to .potx (PowerPoint Template).
3. PowerPoint will likely default to the "Custom Office Templates" folder; save it there. Give it a descriptive name.

Functions:
