The Six-Question Skill Planning Sheet
Answer six questions before you ask Claude to build a Skill, so Skill Creator has clear decisions to work from.

An exclusive resource for students of Arun's Claude Code Course.
You can save a process you already use or adapt a trustworthy published method. Name the source of any outside method and check that you may reuse the material.
Question 1
1. When should Claude use this Skill?
Write the kind of job and 2 natural requests that should select it. Also name a nearby request that belongs to another job.
Question 2
2. What will you provide?
Name the input file or information. Which missing detail should Claude request before continuing?
Question 3
3. What should Claude do?
Write the process in a useful order. Explain a reason when skipping a step would cause a mistake.
Question 4
4. What should Claude produce?
Name the finished file or response and the parts you need inside it. An example can clarify a format, but should not predetermine the next result.
Question 5
5. How should Claude check the result?
Name something observable: source IDs behind a conclusion, correct arithmetic, a required section or a file that opens. Decide what you will check yourself.
Question 6
6. When should Claude stop or ask you?
Name the decision you retain and any action needing approval. Written instructions guide behaviour; Claude Code's permissions control tool approval separately.
