Create a personal welcome page with my name and a short introduction about me. Make it look professional with clean design.
Before you run it: Claude Code installed and authenticated, and a folder you created for this, so the files land somewhere you can find them.
What happens next
Claude will typically ask one or two clarifying questions before it starts, covering details it needs to make a sensible choice. Many of them come with multiple-choice options, and one is usually marked Recommended. Pick that, choose a different one, or type your own answer. Whichever route you take, Claude continues from there.
Then you watch the same loop from the opening section run on your own project. Claude reads the folder, plans what to create, writes the files, and verifies the result.
Then you have three options
Open the main HTML file in your browser and look at what it built. For a page like this, Claude usually writes the HTML plus a separate stylesheet, and sometimes a small JavaScript file too.
Accept what came back as it is.
Reject it and ask for a different direction.
Modify specific parts, with something like "change the color scheme to darker tones" or "add a section about my skills", and Claude typically makes the change inside the same session.
That review loop is the working pattern for everything you build from here. You give direction, Claude implements, you review and refine.

You get a small breakdown with total cost, total API time, total wall time, and the code changes for the session.
One note on the cost number. If you are on a Pro or Max subscription, that dollar figure is not what you are being billed, because you are on a flat monthly plan. It is the API-rate equivalent of the work Claude completed, useful as a value reference. For a focused, single-task session like this one, the number is usually smaller than you would expect.
