The Task Manager Prompt

The one sentence from the live demo.
Build me a task manager. I should be able to add tasks, mark them complete, and delete them. Tasks should persist between browser sessions. Make it look clean and modern.
Use it as your own first test once Claude Code is installed, and compare what comes back on your machine against what you watched here.
Before you run it: an empty project folder, with your terminal sitting inside it. Add a CLAUDE.md file to that folder if you want the same plain result rather than a framework, and the starter for that is a page of its own in this section.
What to watch for
Three things happened in that demo that are worth catching when you run it yourself.
Claude read the folder before it wrote anything, then said its plan out loud before touching a file. That plan is your chance to stop it if the direction is wrong.
Halfway through, it hit a warning about an unsafe pattern in its own code, and it changed approach without being asked. That moment, the noticing and the adjusting, is the difference between an agent and a chat window.
At the end it summarised what it built and handed the decision back to you. It did not click Add to confirm a task got created. Verification on that take was a hand-off, not a test.
