Connected-App Knowledge Checks

This file is included in the Section 9 practice ZIP.

Three checks, three questions each. Answer notes are separated at the end. The questions test the taught decisions. The Meta connection lesson records Meta connection setup and tool availability; account and campaign reads are optional follow-up practice.

Check A after How Does Claude Choose a Tool

1. You have a saved method for analyzing feedback. The feedback now lives on a Notion page. What does the connection add?

  • A. A way to retrieve the page and perform supported Notion actions.
  • B. A new analysis method automatically replacing your Skill.
  • C. A promise that every returned report is correct.
  • D. A new business priority chosen for you.

2. A provider recommends its CLI for the action you need. What is a useful next step?

  • A. Reject it because every action must use MCP.
  • B. Ask Claude to inspect the supported CLI route and help use it for the job.
  • C. Assume MCP and CLI are the same installation.
  • D. Build your own protocol before trying the task.

3. A context panel shows a large deferred MCP inventory and a much smaller loaded MCP-tools row. What explains that difference?

  • A. Deferred tools are currently using the entire active context window.
  • B. All tool results are permanently stored outside the conversation.
  • C. Detailed tool definitions can be discovered and loaded when needed.
  • D. Claude must disconnect every unused app after every request.

Check B after How Can Claude Use a Saved Design Method

1. Which information helps you check the feedback report against its source?

  • A. The length of the report alone.
  • B. The original feedback IDs and exact source excerpts.
  • C. The number of connected apps.
  • D. The design's background color.

2. What does the presentation Skill contribute alongside the Canva connection?

  • A. A method for planning the audience, purpose and content.
  • B. Automatic access to every Canva account.
  • C. A replacement for the original feedback.
  • D. A completed export without requesting one.

3. What happened in the recorded two-output exercise?

  • A. A fresh conversation independently tested the Skill.
  • B. A generated image was imported and exported to PowerPoint.
  • C. The saved method was reused in the same conversation for a deck and action brief.
  • D. Every design operation was performed manually before Claude received the request.

Check C after Workflows You Can Run With Connected Apps

1. A service is absent from the connector directory. What should you try next?

  • A. Treat the service as impossible to connect.
  • B. Ask Claude to find the provider's current supported setup route, and inspect other maintained routes if necessary.
  • C. Reinstall every existing Skill.
  • D. Copy a configuration for an unrelated product without reading it.

2. How do MCP and computer use relate?

  • A. Computer use interacts with an interface; MCP exposes supported tools and actions. A workflow can use the route that fits the action.
  • B. MCP always means moving a mouse across the screen.
  • C. Computer use requires every app to publish an MCP server.
  • D. A browser request is always a Browser Use MCP request.

3. What makes a useful workflow-discovery request?

  • A. Ask Claude to install the largest list of popular MCPs.
  • B. Supply your real source material, the steps you repeat and the result you need, then ask for supported routes.
  • C. Ask only for a tool's name.
  • D. Choose an app by its logo before deciding what you want to do.

Answer notes

A1: A. The Skill supplies the method; the connection supplies supported outside actions.

A2: B. A documented CLI may perform the useful action. MCP is one route, and the provider's supported setup matters.

A3: C. Tool Search can load definitions on demand. Returned content and conversation history still occupy context.

B1: B. IDs and excerpts let you compare the analysis with the actual comments.

B2: A. A method guides the presentation decisions; the app connection performs supported creation actions.

B3: C. The recorded exercise used the same conversation and two useful formats.

C1: B. The directory is a discovery surface, not the complete inventory of supported connections.

C2: A. Interface actions and exposed tools are different routes. Name the route actually used.

C3: B. A described job gives Claude something concrete to research and match to tools.
