Local-File Comparison Demonstration

These fictional supplier quotes are practice material for Maya’s renovation-company example. They are not real offers or current market prices.

Download and unzip the practice files. The quotes folder contains supplier-a.txt, supplier-b.txt and supplier-c.txt. Give your agent access to that folder and ask it to write comparison.md there. Keep the original download so you can repeat the exercise.

Buy 400 square feet of the specified tile, delivered within 5 calendar days of ordering. Compare material cost plus delivery before tax. Exclude options that miss the deadline, then choose the lowest total among the eligible options. Ask for a source filename for every input and the arithmetic behind every total.

Ask the agent to work only in the practice folder. It should not contact suppliers, submit an order or send files anywhere. Inspect the result against the three quote files, including delivery times and the calculations.
