The wording for your first comparison

Use an AI application that can perform web research for this exercise. The course demonstration uses Codex with its normal default settings. Sign in to an account that provides access to Codex, then start a new task. The official app quickstart provides the setup steps.

You can also use Claude Code, which appeared in the opening demonstration. The official Claude desktop quickstart provides those setup steps. If the setup asks you to choose a folder, select an empty folder created for this exercise.

Replace the bracketed parts of the request below, then paste the completed request into the task.

I need to choose [a type of tool or supplier] for [the job I need done].

Find 3 suitable options. If I name options below, compare those instead:

What matters to me, in this order:

Research each option against those 3 requirements. Put the comparison in a table in your response, with one row for each option and one column for each requirement. Put the supporting page under each claim so I can check it.

If you cannot find something, leave it blank and say what is missing rather than guessing.

Name the job and the type of product or supplier you need. Add 3 requirements that would change your decision, such as total price, a delivery deadline or a required feature. Put the most important requirement first. If you already have options, use their exact names.

Do not include private customer or company information in this first exercise.

If the agent asks for missing information, answer the question. When the comparison appears, open the sources behind the claims that matter to your decision. Check that each source refers to the right product, plan or supplier. Keep missing information visible rather than replacing it with a guess.

An unfinished run is still useful evidence. Save the request, the result that exists and the question or problem that prevented completion.
